The Risen King
This powerful message takes us to the empty tomb on resurrection morning, where we encounter three profound observations that challenge our faith today. First, we discover that confusion often stems from forgetting what Jesus told us. Like the women who came with spices to anoint a dead body, we sometimes forget His promises when circumstances don't match our expectations. We forget that He promised peace in tribulation, healing through His stripes, and His constant presence through the Holy Spirit. Second, we're confronted with a striking reality: even when presented with evidence, some remain unconvinced. The empty tomb, the folded grave clothes, the angelic witnesses—all pointed to resurrection, yet doubt persisted. How much evidence do we need before we truly believe? The disciples had witnessed miracles, yet when the ultimate miracle occurred, they called it nonsense. Finally, we learn that nothing replaces personal experience. It wasn't until individuals encountered the risen Christ themselves—Peter at the tomb, the disciples on the road to Emmaus—that belief became unshakeable. This message challenges us to move beyond secondhand faith inherited from family or tradition and to seek our own encounter with the living God. The question echoes across the centuries to each of us today: What about you? Have you experienced the risen King for yourself?
